Model Y holds value slightly better but follows a similar curve. That depreciation puts a used Tesla in the same price range as a new Camry - except it costs roughly $40-$60/month to charge at home versus $150-$200/month in gas. Two things to check on any used Tesla: battery degradation and software version. Most Teslas retain 90%+ of their original range after 100,000 miles, but ask for the current estimated range at full charge. Also confirm whether the vehicle has Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability or just Autopilot - FSD adds significantly to the resale value. Teslas have no oil changes, no transmission fluid, and brake pads last 100K+ miles because of regenerative braking. The main wear item is tires.
